A MONUMENT OF NATIONAL IMPORTANCE<\/h2>\n

  The Castle of Grandson is an emblematic monuments of the Canton of Vaud, and more particularly of the Northern region. A SIGNIFICANT HERITAGE RENOVATION<\/h2>\n

  In 2008, a patrimonial check-up was carried out on the fortress, which had not undergone any comprehensive renovation for at least a hundred years. The Stiftung f\u00fcr Kunst, Kultur und Geschichte and the Castle of Grandson Foundation undertook emergency work to renovate the castle for the first time in a century. A NEW MUSEUM IN 2026<\/h2>\n

  The initial work to stabilise and renovate the castle walls was completed in 2020. The following year saw the launch of \u201cCh\u00e2teau de Grandson 2026\u201d, a large-scale project valued for more than 40 million Swiss francs and carried out jointly by the Stiftung f\u00fcr Kunst Kultur und Geschichte and the Castle of Grandson Foundation. The aim of the project is to rethink the monument in the Swiss museum, cultural and touristic landscape.   This second phase will affect the interiors of the monument in order to create new reception areas and a completely new museographic offer. The Castle of Grandson will thus house exhibitions relating the episode of the Battle of Grandson and the Burgundy Wars, the history of the fortress and its owners, as well as a centre dedicated to the crossbow.
